About Pacman Arcade Game
The PacMan arcade game, originally called Puck Man in Japan, is a 1980 maze action video game developed and published by Namco for arcades. In North America, the game was published by Midway Manufacturing as part of its licensing agreement with Namco America.
Players control PacMan, who must eat all the dots in a closed maze while avoiding four colorful monsters. Eating large flashing balls called “power pellets” will temporarily turn the monster blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for extra points.
Development of the
game began in early 1979 by a group of nine people led by Toru Iwatani. Iwatani wanted to create a game that would appeal to both men and women, as most of the games played during the war had sports or sports content. Iwatani said he perfected the word “kuchi,” which means “mouth” in Japanese. The characters in the game are designed to be cute and colorful to attract the attention of young people. The original Japanese name for “Puck Man” comes from the Japanese word “paku paku taberu”, meaning “to swallow”; When it was released in North America, its name was changed to “PacMan”.
How To Play
PacMan is easy to learn but difficult to master (like all classic games). Eat the small dots around the stone to earn as many points as possible. 10 points each (240 points total).
Big points are scored when you eat 1 of the 4 large flashing dots called energizers (worth 50 points) in each corner of the lane. You can collect 14,600 points in a single level and if you eat some fruit your level will increase.
When you get the power potion, all the monsters in the maze will turn blue and run away from you. Monsters only stay blue for a limited time or until you eat them all.
When you eat a monster, its eyes are only left until the monster returns to its cow sting
where the monster regenerates, drops the cow sting, and continues on its way, searching for it again.
It is easy to eat all monsters within the time limit of the power level.
But the more mazes you clear, the shorter the power level will be.
It is good that sooner or later the berries are more valuable at this time.
Because the monsters start quickly, you cannot see them turn blue, and even then they do not back down. .
